This engagement session at Jump Off Rock in Hendersonville, NC is just one lovely example of how much the lighting can play a part in the final photos! We started a little early, about 1.5 hours before sunset and went until we got that lovely golden hue.
This couple was so much fun and really had a blast with all the prompts and ideas I threw at them. It’s always a fun time when my clients can’t stop laughing! You’d never know this spot was pretty crowded at the time with prom photos being taken right beside us (though it isn’t always especially if you pick a weekday) because they only had eyes for each other. Even in the busiest spots I can usually make it look like you’re all alone, so don’t let a popular area scare you off from using it for your engagement or elopement photos!
This place has turned into one of my very favorites to photograph at since it’s right off the parking lot, no hike required and it gets perfect sunsets behind the mountains. There’s even a cute little forest area off to the side for a whole different look if you’d like a mixture of backgrounds. What more can a photographer ask for? The Blue Ridge Mountains offer so many options for engagement photos and this is another to add to the ‘Yes Please!’ list.
